Working Principle Description:
Pressure swing adsorption (PSA) is a new gas adsorption and separation technology. It uses carbon molecular sieve as adsorbent (carbon molecular sieve is a specially processed ink particle with pulverized coal as raw material, and its surface is covered with countless micropores). A two bed PSA device is used to separate nitrogen rich from the air, so as to obtain nitrogen. The separation principle: when the compressed air passes through the adsorption bed, the oxygen molecules directly enter the micropores on the surface of the carbon molecular sieve and are adsorbed.
The nitrogen molecules cannot enter the micropores and are enriched in the adsorption bed. The nitrogen gas with a certain purity is transported. The ability of carbon molecular sieve to adsorb oxygen increases with the increase of pressure and decreases with the decrease of pressure. The principle of adsorption and decompression is desorption when carbon molecular sieve is pressurized is used to cooperate with the circulation of AB tower to achieve the purpose of separation, which is referred to as PSA nitrogen production for short.
